Some websites, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and other OTT platforms, use Digital Rights Management (DRM) to protect their content from copyright violations. When you try to cast content from these websites to your Chromecast device, you may encounter a black screen. This is because the DRM technology prevents unauthorized distribution of the content.

DRM is designed to ensure that content can only be played on authorized devices, and not copied or shared without permission. While it can be frustrating to encounter a black screen when trying to cast content from these websites, it is important to understand that it is in place to protect the rights of content creators and copyright holders.

To avoid encountering a black screen while casting content from these websites, you can use the screen mirroring feature on your mobile device to cast the content. This will mirror your mobile device’s screen onto your Chromecast TV, allowing you to view the content without any issues.
